Business Description

Charles Stanley is an author, educator, speaker and Wealth Manager with Capital Financial Advisors, LLC. He regularly presents continuing education for Attorneys (MCLE) and CPAs (CPE) in areas where law and finance intersect. He has done significant work in the area of fiduciary investing under the Uniform Prudent Investor Act.

Charles is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Chartered Financial Consultant and has been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation by the Center for Fiduciary Studies. For more than seventeen years Mr. Stanley has served retired physicians, business owners, corporate executives, retirees and many widows helping them with their estate planning, tax strategies, risk management, investment selection, business succession, and retirement planning. After twenty years in Christian ministry, Mr. Stanley spent four years as a corporate executive before entering the personal financial planning field.

Charles has been involved in the local financial planning community having served multiple years on the Board of the San Diego Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and is a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor. He is also an active member of the Escondido Rotary Club.

He attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, Friends University, graduated with honors from LIFE Pacific College in San Dimas, CA. and obtained his Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College. Mr. Stanley received specialized training in fiduciary practice standards at The Center for Fiduciary Studies which is associated with the Center for Executive Education, Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, which teaches fiduciary standards of care and investment best practices designed for trustees and investment professionals.

He has been quoted or published in The Journal of Financial Planning, Investment News, The San Diego Union Tribune, The Bottom Line, The Canadian Funeral Director and the American Funeral Director magazines, The San Diego Daily Transcript, Financial AdvisorPro, The Family Business Advisor, The Christian Businessman Magazine and was a contributing author to “How to Manage a Million Dollars . . . or less.” He hosted “Senior Money” a radio talk show heard on KCEO AM 1000 and has appeared as an expert witness in both NASD Arbitration and in the San Diego Superior Court.
