Why life insurance?
Life insurance is a very useful both to individuals and businesses, but also to our overall society. When would cash be more needed than after the premature death of the main bread winner of the family? The family with life insurance will not suffer financially or be a burden on other people or the government.
Scott is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Charter Retirement Planning Specialist and a Licensed Life Insurance Agent, California State Insurance Department. Scott is also a Registered Investment Advisor with JW Financial Advisors LLC and has Series 7 and 66 equity licenses. Scott began his financial career in 1980 as a financial analyst with an international petrochemical engineering company in Rome, Italy. Later he moved to Autodesk, Inc where he set up the company 401(k) plan, served as corporate treasurer, as well as taking on international management assignments in Japan, Australia, and Latin America. Prior to joining JW Financial, Scott was a financial planner with Quantum Capital Management and Park Avenue Securities, where he provided comprehensive financial planning solutions for high net worth individuals, retire professionals, business owners, executives, and retirees and many widows helping them with their estate planning, tax strategies, risk management, investment selection, business succession, and retirement planning. Scott's approach is to first determine what is important to his clients. Life goals are identified and clarified. They are then translated into financial goals that require a timetable for successful completion. By establishing a Financial Plan and a rigorous investment discipline to achieve consistent results, Scott helps his clients stay on track until the goals are accomplished. Scott is married, with a daughter, who is a freshman at Claremont McKenna College, and a son, 6th grader at Mill Valley Middle School. He enjoys coaching his son's basketball team, skiing with his family in the winter, and relaxing in the mountains with his family in the summer. Scott is also an active member of Toastmasters and supports Kiddo, the Mill Valley Education foundation. He received a BA from Claremont McKenna College. He received his Financial Planning training from Boston University.
