Peter J. Merrick, B.A., FMA, CFP, TEP, FCSI

Since the early 1990s, Peter has had an active career in the financial planning, investment, risk management, estate, and business succession planning, cross boarder planning and executive benefit and pension fields. He has been retained for his expertise by some of North America's largest financial institutions, accounting and legal firms, to provide strategic planning solutions.

Peter is a professional financial writer, with over 306 published articles to his credit. He is the author of the best selling “The Essential Individual Pension Plan Handbook” (Lexisnexis, 2007) and “The TASK - The Trusted Advisor's Survival Kit" (Lexisnexis, 2009).

In 2000, Peter was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), recognized as Canada's highest honor in the Canadian financial services industry. In 2008, he was invited as a full member into the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and awarded the TEP designation. He is a professional public speaker who has achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster's (DTM) designation and has taught at several post-secondary institutions in programs that lead to the Certified Financial Planning, Certified General Accountant, Certified Human Resources Professional and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designations. Peter resides in Toronto, Canada and San Diego, CA.

Sousie brings a unique value proposition to AdvisorWorld.com, having developed a three-pronged area of expertise that incorporates sales, marketing and public relations.

Sousie started her career at one of Canada’s largest financial institutions in sales and customer relations, acquiring the skills to understand client needs and implement key strategies for meeting business goals while maintaining customer satisfaction. For the last 10 years, Sousie has worked for some of Canada’s largest marketing & communications firms, servicing clients from small tech start-ups to international pharmaceutical giants, developing key marketing & communications strategies to bring new products to market and help clients navigate their way through the ever-changing landscape of business marketing and communications. As the marketing manager for one of Canada’s largest privately held home design company’s, Sousie developed a passion for marketing innovative products and ground-breaking ideas that were born in a truly entrepreneur environment. She has brought this passion with her to AdvisorWorld.com. Sousie is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, and a Masters Degree in Journalism.

Lisa Cintron is the Vice President of Search Marketing and Social Media for AdvisorWorld.com.  An experienced Internet Marketing Strategist, Lisa also has over 15+ years of Sales, Marketing and Referral Marketing experience.  This has given her a unique advantage into the mind of the end consumer and how they approach their online search for products and services, as well as how they interact in social media.

She has had the distinct advantage of training with some of the biggest leaders in internet marketing and search engine optimization.   And is also a lifelong student, Lisa believes that the internet in general and search engine marketing in particular is an ongoing process, “the landscape changes daily”.  Therefore, she stays up to date on Web trends and standards and is regularly enrolled in industry webinars and conferences.

Lisa’s commitment, passion and dedication stem from a desire to improve upon and create new strategies that will best maximize rankings and web page conversions.  Her work has earned her the distinction of consistent, top rankings in major search engines for industries such as Travel, Political Conspiracies, Life Insurance and many varied products and services.

Lisa is a graduate of Chapman University in California and holds BS, she lives in Southern California with her 3 children.
